A study published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology found that individuals with low self-confidence were less likely to follow through on health-related goals. The study found that those with lower self-confidence were less likely to engage in healthy behaviors and were more likely to experience setbacks or relapses when trying to make changes.
